J'ai vécu jusques aujourd'hui et suis connu sous ce nom, et nonobstant qu'au baptême on m'ait appelé Alonso de Guillén, moi, je m'appelle Alonso de Contreras." Les Mémoires du capitan Alonso de Contreras, découverts à la fin du XIXe, sont un splendide et captivant récit d'aventures, vécues sur terre et sur mer par un capitaine de l'ordre de Malte au début du XVIIe siècle. Il nous raconte la guerre des galères en Méditerranée, les abordages entre les galions espagnols et les corsaires anglais, sans oublier les expéditions sous le soleil des côtes barbaresques.
Alonso de Contreras a séduit, de son vivant, Lope de Vega qui lui dédia sa pièce Le Roi sans royaume.

Igualmente hay que: Tratar de una forma adecuada las manifestaciones clínicas que lo requieran; Evaluar de forma cuidadosa el patrón de consumo de sustancias para clarificar el origen y la evolución; Establecer un diagnóstico psiquiátrico e independiente de la adicción; y, finalmente, no olvidar que el tratamiento precisa estar incorporado en un programa más amplio de rehabilitación psicosocial.
